A note to readers:
I know that your time is precious and in short supply, so thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read this book. It means a lot to me.
If you've enjoyed this book, please consider leaving a review. In these days of algorithms and automation reviews are critical: they help readers to know what to expect, they let me know how the book has been received, and they help booksellers decide what to show to new readers.
If you're willing, you can leave reviews wherever you purchased the book (e.g. Amazon, Apple Books etc) or just send it to me in a note, and I will post it here.

An incredibly wise therapist once told me that our work as human beings is to learn to hold ourselves in warm regard in spite of our very human failings. This book is a guidebook for how to do that.

Dear Leslee,
Thank you SO much !!! Your gift arrived today ~ and it is AMAZING !! You were SO right to think that I would love this book !!
I've only read a few chapters today (chosen "randomly" ... Mindful Insomnia, Goldilocks Yoga and Echoes of Narcissus) but I am quite captivated by her style, intelligence, and humour. I love authors who interpret/use Greek myths and other classic tales to reflect lessons/morals/draw parallels to present day, what we can learn from the stories. I had just finished a book and was looking at the to-be-read pile I have, trying to decide which one to start next ... and my answer was delivered by YOU and Amazon !! Very timely and very much appreciated !!

Finally, I have found a book that helps explain and put into practice some of the aspects of meditation that I have so far found heavy. Elaine puts these into an everyday language that is appealing and easy to read. The suggested experiential practices included really seal the learning. I recommend this book to anyone that may call themselves a seeker. A must read for yoga and meditation teachers, students and may I suggest as required reading for teacher training programs. I usually read a book and pass it on. This book is one of the rare books I choose to keep as a continuous reference.
